Isherwood is a consulting firm specializing in geostructural engineering for new and restoration projects in Toronto, Vancouver, and throughout Canada. Formed in 1972 by Brian Isherwood (Fellow of the Canadian Society of Civil Engineers), Isherwood provides superior value to our clients, rooted in a heavy focus on personalized service, constructability, and high quality field review.

Isherwood has been responsible for excavation support, retaining walls, slope stabilization, underpinning, and foundation design for many prominent Toronto structures including the CN Tower, Skydome Stadium (now Rogers Centre), Royal Ontario Museum, Toronto Opera House, Ontario Science Centre, Pearson Airport, Art Gallery of Ontario, Don Valley Parkway, Billy Bishop Pedestrian Tunnel, Eglinton Crosstown LRT, and the Toronto Subway. We received The Deep Foundations Institute 1998 ‘Outstanding Project Award’ for our involvement in the St. Clair River Rail Tunnel, an honorable mention in 2006 for the RC Harris Filtration Plant, and Toronto Construction Association ‘Best of the Best Award’ for several projects including the Four Seasons Centre for Performing Arts, the Empress Walk Development, and the New Royal Conservatory of Music.
